Charlie Black, Award Winning Song Writer inducted to the Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame, will be live at the Haughty Heron July 10 perfoming oringinal songs and music recorded by legendary recording artists such as: George Strait, Anne Murray, Alan Jackson, Reba McEntire, Roy Orbison, Charlie Rich, Don Williams, Paul Anka, Crystal Gayle, Tanya Tucker, Blackhawk, and Phil Vassar to name a very few.
Charlie, like many songwriters, arrived in Nashville thinking he wanted to sing, but then, the notion of songwriting was suggested to him and... as Charlie said... "Turns out songwriting is the best job around! You just can't beat hearing your words and music on the radio, or going #1 or staying #1... or writing the first top ten (hit) for a new act ... But being elected to the Hall of Fame by my peers--that was THE thrill--and for doing what I love--writing songs."
Now a resident of Port St. Joe, Charlie is singing his own songs.
